Majestic Q-400 and PMDG 737 NGXu in P3dv6 ?

Featured Replies

I am in the fence between the PMDG 737 NGXu and the Majestic Q-400.

I heard the MJ Q-400 has it's installer v6-ready, but there are some quirks with the aircraft in P3dv6. OTOH I I have read a few users saying that the 737 NGXu works flawlessly in v6 ?

.) Can any of you running the MJ Q-400 report if there are any errors / problems or if is usable in v6 ?

.) Same about the PMDG NGXu

Thanks!

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Both work fine with some easy fixes

I would avoid installing the direct 3d elements of the q400 (you can choose not to) as this will bork the sounds.

The NGXu needs some changes to the day and light intensity entries in some fx files to adjust for dawn and dusk.

I use the NGXu the most and it's great

Could you kindly provide details about those fixes ?

- In the MJ Q-400 are the direct 3d elements optional during install and is it easy to skip their install ?

- In the NGXu, could you give me more precise indications on entries to change, which files, etc...

Please feel free to PM me.

Regards,

Yes there is a step in the installation you can decline

Regards,

See my post above-in the effects folder you will see .fx files related to the add-on that you need to edit with a text editor-i use notepad+. Adjust the day and night intensity values for the taxi,RunwayTurnOff, landing, spot and chart map and dome lights and you'll be good to go!

Happy flying!
