CTD P3D v6 on loading

Featured Replies

I have 2 different problems Have a fresh install of P3Dv6, no addons. I get CTD on loading the scenario. I have a Cyborg Evo Force joystick. Using the default setup at KDCA with the F22. I hit ok, the screen goes black while loading for a few seconds, the a gray popup box with no text appears, momentarily, and then it crashes. I disconnected the joystick, and the sim loads, but it's a black screen. System specs are

Windows 10 64 bit

Intel Core i7-4771 30.5G

12G RAM

Geforce GTX-970

DirectX12

Newest Nvidia drivers installed. Did a search of the forum but nothing stands out. Any thoughts?

In case P3D issues always first step is to delete P3D.cfg file and let sim rebuild a new one - it helps in many cases.

Well, I've gotten it to load without the joystick after deleting the cfg file. Tried plugging in the joystick after it loaded, sim freezes and crashes to desktop. The Saitek driver page is blank and device manager says the drivers are up to date. This is a new one on me.

update or reinstall joystick driver?

Reinstalled the driver. Cant find any newer ones on the Saitek or Logitech site. Gave up uninstalled and asked for a refund. Only had it for 3 days. Guess it's back to swearing at MSFS.

I had prolems with Logitech/Saitek drivers with my Saitek Pro hardware. Advice was to plug-in without the drivers and let the system 'assign' drivers. I haven't had any problem since.
