Strange data when watching simulator events.

Featured Replies

With the TBM 850, if I use the watch simulator events pop up window, I seem to get three items that toggle between 0 and 1 even though I am at cold and dark and not doing anything to the sim.

The "auto throttle to ga", "Turbine ignition switch set1" and "heading gyro set" toggle all the time.

The plane seems to fly fine but it seems strange to me.

My controls in "usb game controllers" all seem solid and not spikey.

Does anyone else see this or is my system "special".

It is perfectly normal that you see a myriad of events firing all the time, that is just how the simulator works. The SDK events per se have nothing to do with external controllers (and they are not related to the controller assignments in MSFS either). The internal aircraft logic uses them too to utilize the existing simulated aircraft systems (=engines, avionics, electrical systems etc.etc., coded by Asobo into the actual simulator "engine").

When you turn on MSFS developer mode and then open the same dialog in AAO, you will see dozens if not hundreds of input events firing too, without any external input whatsoever. That is just the aircraft code at work.
