November 3, 20232 yr First, about the Title a bit...I noticed that MSFS/Xbox has (thoughtfully) included a "Xbox Aviators Club" livery for its 787-10 (see Logo in the images below)...maybe to elevate the impression of MSFS flyers in Xbox above that perception of being "arcade" flyers...๐...Oh well, after being a passionate (PC) simmer for nearly 2 decades, and been unexpectedly exposed to the MSFS World recently, I find this all a most novel and refreshing change...with no regret nor ill-will towards my beloved past SIM...๐... Whenever I've visited Denver on a few occasions, the Denver Rockies have been always one of my favorite destinations. Seems like, I've spent more time at and around the Rocky Mountain National Park (a good ~70 miles away from the city) than in the city itself. The State boasts (an impressive) 53 peaks above 14,000 ft. I recall the first time I wished to drive up the (winding and climbing) Paved (mountain) Auto Road in the Park that reaches up to ~10,000 ft altitude...in winter, after a fresh snowfall, but no more snow in the forecast; the Park Ranger had taken a good look at my not so impressive (rental) SUV, and had asked, "Are you sure you want to go up there?" Anyway, he'd permitted me to go with a word-of-caution, "Go as far up as you like, the road should be clean, but heed to all warnings on the way...", which I faithfully did. It was a most exhilarating experience, being up/close to this majestic and rugged mountain range. The highest peak of the Rockies is Mount Elbert, ~15 miles SW of the town of Leadville (CO). I noticed that if I set up a direct flight from Denver to Phoenix, I would be (roughly) flying over this part of the Rockies, which is what I've done for this post. So, please find, below, 11 pictures, from lift-off to the highest of Rockies, with yours truly at the command of the 787-10...in the livery of the (prestigious...๐...no harm dreaming a bit...) "Xbox Aviators Club"...Meanwhile, dusk has fallen over the highest Rockies, with Phoenix still quite far-off... Thanks for viewing. Good flights...!
November 4, 20232 yr Nice shots. Happy to see you've become somewhat smitten by MSFS even as a late adopter. Even as a passenger (not the driver) traversing that Rocky Mountain National Park road on two occasions in the summertime, I felt a little anxious and exposed because of the openness and the dropoff. Was really relieved to get back "down to earth" in Estes Park. Edited November 4, 20232 yr by John F

Glad, you'd chances to visit these high places in the Rockies....Agree, driving up on those roads requires extreme caution and focus...But at least you could enjoy the side views better than I could...๐... ย On 11/3/2023 at 8:38 PM, Alaska738 said: Greatย shots!
