TBM 850 - ILS capture problem

Recommended Posts

I did exactly the same flight and the same procedures and now it works!

It was necessary to install the TBM 850 pack of PMS GTN750 as recommended by @Ridvan Celik. When I bought the TBM 850 this pack did not exist.

I confirm @ark : to switch from HDG to APPR, it is not necessary to go through NAV mode.

Thanks again to everyone for your opinions, they helped me find the solution.

Many thanks to everyone for your opinions.

I am going to do a flight with GPS navigation then traditional ILS approach first with HDG then as you recommend NAV mode and finally APPR.
Thanks also @Ridvan Celik for the info on the GTN750 module for the TBM850, I just downloaded it.

It's recommended to install the WTT mode file for all aircraft using the PMS50 GTN, if they don't have it by default. You will have holds, visual approaches and other goodies you don't have without it.

When checking the system status page in the GTN, if it says WTT mode internal or external you are good to go. If it says No you better install the file.
