RealTurb CAT Areas Global

Featured Replies

I have installed RealTurb CAT Areas Global for a long time.

Do you actually still need that or does MSFS cover it?

There hasn't been an update for the tool in a long time.
However, the weather engine in MSFS was continually adjusted.

Does RealTurb only add turbulence or is it also able to tone down default MSFS turbelence?

I am currently flying over the Mexican Gulf at 6000ft (GA) and experiencing lots of turbulence. I always thought there is hardly any turbulence over water, and it is quite early in the day too.

No it cannot technically influence MSFS turbulence. Whatever you have set in MSFS will be added on top of RealTurb. If you want to tone MSFS turbulence, just turn it off or set it to low.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

OK, thanks. I like a bit of turbulence as long as it is realisticly applied. I don't like to tone it down but I might need to.
