PMDG 737 900 ER Engine 2 is not starting or spooling

Featured Replies

I have been using licensed version pmdg 737 series and using nicely without any issues. After Sim Update 14, second engine does not start or spools up though APU is running and first engine starts without any issue. In order to ensure smooth experience, I uninstalled through clean uninstall using external software but to no avail. Evenafter that second engine doesn't start at all. With single engine running, PMDG behaves weirdly like rolling to left or right instead of going straight for take off. I am clueless after extensive search. Can anyone help me. [email protected]

Can you screenshot your air conditioning / bleed air panel at lower right portion of your overhead?

Probably Isolation Valve wasn't configured correctly.

Good chance the Pneumatic cross bleed is closed.   You are attempting a single engine takeoff?    With one engine operating without rudder trim applied the aircraft will indeed experience a strong rolling moment. This is typical of swept wing aircraft as advancing one wing will significantly increase its lift over the other.   Generally in a Boeing rudder trim is used to correct a rolling tendency, not aileron trim.

What order are you starting the engines in? Left on first then right one second?

Or right one first, then left one second?

Staet the engines in the order of right engine first, then left engines second. When starting the right engine first, make sure the crossbleed switch is in the open position. Then when the right engine is done starting, put the crossbleed switch in the closed position. Then start the left engine.

Making sure the crossbleed switch is in the position required is good for individuals who don’t know the system well enough to know when it opens and closes when in the Auto position.

If you still can’t get both engines started with the above procedure, make sure your apu bleed air switch is on and that both packs are off when starting.

If you still can’t get them started with using both techniques above, then contact pmdg support as your product is having issues.
