Update 1.35.21.0 - already updated but sim wants to reload

Recommended Posts

I used the sim for several hours earlier today with no problems.  Before I quit the sim - I checked Content Manager to verify there was nothing new to download.

Now - when I try to start the sim - "Checking Updates" tells me I have a Mandatory Update and shows Release Notes for 1.35.21.0.  But, the top line on the screen shows I am running 1.35.21.0

Isn't that the latest update we all struggled with on December 5 or after - also known as SU 14? I have flown about 20-hours since I installed that update.

Why is the sim now trying to download/install more than 40 GB (that is how much free space there is) to Drive C and then telling me there is not enough disk space?

The install path is correct for the Packages library as shown on the Updates screen and as coded in user.cfg

I freed up a bunch of space and now see that Installation Manager wants to download and install 159 GB of data.

WHAT?

I had this too and MSFS installed exclusively content like MS Airports, Bushtrips, landing challenges, discovery flights. Btw all things I removed months ago. Suddenly there was no way to avoid installing those.

After Deleting them all again AND uninstalling and installing the MSFS app again (pc ms Store msfs app), it wanted to download them all again. So as long as you deleted them AND do not update MSFS, reinstall MSFS or verify msfs files via Xbox, there will be no problem starting MSFS without downloading them all. Otherwise it will download them all again.
