December 13, 20232 yr It's likely I'm just an word not allowed and missing something, but I planned a flight for the Justflight BAE 146-300 that was 550nm and simbrief is telling me it's beyond the plane's range (range should be closer to 1000nm). I was sure to pick the profile for the Justflight version of the plane, though I tested and it says the same thing for the default profile. Is this an error in Simbrief, or am I making a mistake? Obviously I'm flying it anyway, but just curious.
December 13, 20232 yr Is that on the Simbrief website? I had no problem generating a flight EHRD-LIRQ which is 696NM. December 13, 20232 yr Could be that your reserve fuel is ridiculously high. Simbrief sometimes picks alternates that are even further from your destination than the departure airport. Make sure to choose the alternate manually, and pick an airport that is reasonably close to your destination. Also, range depends on payload. Some airplanes (e.g., the Twin Otter) have a very short range when fully loaded. If you are willing to bend the reserve fuel rules (MSFS is a game after all, not a simulator 😉 ), you can extend the range further, or carry a larger payload. Peter

I just went back and looked at the flight and the alternate was about the same distance as origin. I had a feeling I was missing something---guess I should pay more attention to my alternates 😁
