January 4, 20242 yr My P3D 5.4 has a chronic problem that I just discovered today. As I have my take off roll set and I am rolling down the runway when I reach a 100kts, simulator froze. I have to use task manager to end it so I can use my computer. This happens with my PMDG 747-400, Drzewiecki Design Tokyo Narita add on, OBRX global base vector, envshade, REX skyforce 3d weather engine on, FS2 crew on at the same time. I have saved my flight at runway entry point and when I load it up for take off and then take off, the problem happens.
January 4, 20242 yr I doubt that it's a P3Dv5.4 problem. Rather, it is likely one of your complex addons like the PMDG 747, Tokyo airport, or FS2 Crew. Perhaps something the sim doesn't like happens when these are used together. January 6, 20242 yr Having a saved flight that consistently reproduces the problem is a good start. I'd load that flight, then change the date/time and see if it still occurs--if not, it's likely an AI traffic problem, with a problem airplane or traffic BGL. If it still crashes, reload and try taxiing down the length of the runway to see if it's occurring at a particular point along the runway, which would suggest a scenery problem. It might also be a corrupt sound file that's triggered at an airspeed...FS2Crew or the airplane perhaps, or possibly you have multiple sound devices active and conflicting. If there's precip (rain or snow), try with clear weather to see if the barrage of particles is overloading the GPU or VRAM. January 11, 20242 yr Author Hi all, So I've eliminated some add ons such as Envtex, FS2Crew not running and still freezes on take off roll. Is there a content error log I can see that can pinpoint the root cause of the problem. It's not a big deal, I can always start another flight out. By the weather was no rain. Just using the live weather via Rex Skyforce. traffic settings is turned off.
