AAO Frustratingly not responding/no window in MSFS

Featured Replies

What guidance is there for troubleshooting when AAO takes ages to open (program displayed in windows tray, but no window appears)- and then when the window finally pops up, it is not responding. Is simconnect blocking it?

The biggest hangups are when I  enter the "select simulator axis" /add axis window- the program will not respond for a long while and then I won't be able to use the dropdown to select the axis.

Sounds like interference from incompatible USB devices. That should've already been visible in the DEMO version?

Go to Hardware->Device Blacklist. Move everything to the right with the "Ignore" button that isn't a game controller that you are using in AAO.

Meaning, in the list on the left, only "real" joysticks, yokes, TQs and rudders remain, plus MIDI devices.
Everything else, all mice, keyboards, HID devices, StreamDeck and whatnot must be ignored.
