Moving to new PC - What is included in the Database Backup?

Featured Replies

Hello!

As the title says, I am soon moving all my stuff to a new PC. I created a Database Backup zip for this.

But will it include also the scripts I downloaded from FS.to for example plus my created templates?

What is included in the Backup?

Thank you very much!

Everything that is not user content = everything from the \AppData\Local\LORBY_SI\LorbyAxisAndOhs... folder (see chapter about "File handling" in the AAO manual). That includes all aircraft configurations, all templates, custom events and variables and the scripts database.

"User content" is what has been added here: Documents\LorbyAxisAndOhs Files. This you have to move manually.

Here too my usual warning: AAO identifies your game controllers (joysticks, throttles, rudders) by the GUID that is assigned to them by Windows. This GUID will be different on your new computer, so you will have to re-assign all Axis and Buttons when you restore the backup there, either "live" in every aircraft configuration or by using the dialog "Hardware->Hardware Change".

Thank you very much! (Also for the nice backup and Hardware change functions!)
