February 1, 20242 yr Hi folks. My system has been running just fine recently. All of a sudden, starting this morning, the monitor graphics are perfect until it's time for the home screen to display and then all I see is a dull gray blurry image. Everything is displaying perfectly until the home screen. I have rebooted everything but that did not solve the problem. I don't know why everything before the home screen looks normal and the home screen won't display. Ideas? Case: (Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic XL), PSU: (MEG Ai300p pcie 5 & ATX 3.0), Motherboard: (ASUS TUF Gaming x670E-PLUS WIFI 6E), CPU: (AMD Ryzen 7 7800-X3D) Memory: (G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB Series 64GB DDR5 6000), GPU: (Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 AMP Extreme Airo). CPU Cooler: (ASUS ROG Strix LC RGB 360) Fans: (7 Corsair LL Series 120mm RGB)
February 1, 20242 yr Author Based on more testing it seems to be related to the fact that I have Flow Pro in my alternate "Community" folder instead of the real Community folder. Seems odd I thought I have had it there for a while but I just installed a new version and I noticed on the website that they recommend not using any folder than the real Community folder. I can't see what difference it would make, BUT when I moved the folder frome one location to the other, everything worked correctly. Seems a bit of a mystery to me. Oh well........ Apparently, Asobo changed some code in the recent world update (they don't normally, but it was just a few things). Parallel 42 actually told them they had messed up their program during yesterday's live stream and made it clear they weren't too happy about it! (Devs don't expect code changes in World Updates, and it seems nobody was notified anyway). End result, //42 managed to patch Flow quickly, so make sure you do have that latest fixed / patched version, plus Asobo said sorry and they would try not to do it again. As long as you are all working now Rob, all good! Edited February 1, 20242 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
