Sound Drop-Off After Croossing Atlantic

Featured Replies

In cruise for 4 hours from EGLL to KIAD the 'total' sound drops off significantly.

Prior to this the 'total sound' level is at the preset level, and when I select another Window the environmental sounds drop off. When the P3D window is reselected, the soundincreases back to preset level.

After 4 hours approximately the overallsound level drops off to the lower level and will not return to preset. When I select the drop-down menu  OPTIONS --> GENERAL, the sound jumps back up to the previous higher level. As soon as I come out of the drop-down menu the overall sund level dropsagain.

Wha'sgoing on?

Windows can be a bugbear at times.

I'd check the Windows sound control panel as a first step to troubleshooting.

In the Sound control panel, under the Communications tab - what is set ?

What version of the sim are you using?  I'm on V6 and this is happening with the V3 A36 and I thought it was something to do with an incompatibility of the aircraft.
