Off Topic: Star Wars Squadrons for $1.99

Recommended Posts

Just a heads up for us VR users, if you haven't tried Star Wars Squadrons yet, it is on sale on Amazon for $1.99 (95% off)

This game is fantastic in VR, feels like you are in a Star Wars movie.

great game!   epic store was giving it away for free a couple of months ago. I say get it just to experience drifting around in the debri field and running along close to the star destroyers

does anyone else find the menu navigation arrangement terrible?

p.s. Praydogs UEVR app works well with Star Wars Fallen Order and Battlefront 2 (as good as native VR) if you find them for cheap (usually just a few dollars on steam)

Thanks for the Praydog UEVR app information.

Sounds interesting, just hope it works on my system.

Well since we’re off topic & talking UEVR, try TrainSim World in VR (if you like trains 🙂. ). It is stunning.  Works great.  Touring the European countryside is fantastic (to me).

I’m using TSW4 with the G2. No tweaks needed - UEVR works right out of the gate.

I bought Star Wars Squadrons when it initially released and it was atrociously bad, the mouse control was terrible, the lack of hotas support was dreadful. Reading the discussions on steam it seems nothings changed, but I still grabbed it for a quid and will see what it's like just incase...but I'm not that hopeful, good job it's so cheap now eh 😄

interesting. i bought it about 3 days after it released and could map 3d pro joystick to it without issues. The 3d stereo effect was wrong initially, with everything looking too small and with very little z depth, plus there was no space "haze" to give the impression of distance, even though no-haze was probably correct technically for space. They added haze and fixed the 3d depth shortly after which was great.
