Pixelated / too crisp look ?

Featured Replies

So,

I pushed the latest XP12 update and am running it with only default graphics plus an NCP or NI profile where I basically set max fps to 30, disable threaded optimization and have that option that I once learned and used as per Q8Pilot suggestion - for sharpening - disabled in the registry and not present as an option in NCP, but! XP12 looks pixelated ?

Is this a thing of the latest version ?

No. A screenshot and other info (like log.txt) would be helpful for others to help you.

Using nvidia driver 546.33 studio standard, I remember seeing something strange too after enabling the function "Image Sharpening".

I tried going back a driver version and forward again. I used the game-ready version this time and when I enabled the function, the sim was much better. I don't know what happened but maybe you can get the same result.

I am using .71 sharpening and I can't go back now.

Solved it using a specific Nvidia Inspector profile overriding sim settings and using SGAA.

  1. Adjust Image Sharpening:

    • Scroll down to find the Antialiasing - Mode setting.
    • Set it to Override any application setting.
    • Next, locate the Antialiasing - Setting option.
    • Set it to 2x, 4x, 8x, or 16x (choose the level of antialiasing you prefer).
    • Now, find the Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling setting.
    • Set it to 2x Sparse Grid Supersampling (SGSSAA).
    • Finally, adjust the Antialiasing - Transparency Multisampling setting to 2x Sparse Grid Supersampling (SGSSAA) as well.
