Jetways with PMDG

Featured Replies

I have GSX and some payware airports.  Today, I started at KLAS from FlyTampa in the 737-700 from PMDG.  GSX did not identify any jetways.  I was under the impression I was supposed to run GSX to remove jetways from all payware add-ons, which I did a couple weeks ago.  Just now I completed a flight in the Fenix, and both KPHX (BMworld) and KDEN (Flightbeam), docked the jetways to my plane.  Why is this hit or miss?

Quoting from GSX Manual, Page 7:

The “Exclude 3rd party” button will automatically move all the installed 3rd party airport in the “Disabled” list, it’s typically used after installing a new scenery. In order to be successfully recognized, airport packages must use the standard MSFS naming convention developer-airport-icao-name.

IMPORTANT
The Configuration of 3rd Party Exclusion from Jetway replacement is done when doing any of the following:
• When you first Install or Reinstall GSX
• When you perform a GSX Update
• If you Install/Reinstall/Unlink/Relink any FSDT airport

If you install a new 3rd party scenery, just installing it won’t result to automatically go here and reconfigure Jetway Exclusion, you should develop a habit to always
check the GSX Config page after installing a new 3rd party scenery. Failing to do so, would result in Parking conflicts (visible as double-Parking spots in the World
Map), and Jetways malfunctions.

SUGGESTION
If you never use default airports and you always have a 3rd party add-on for any airport you fly into, you might consider Disabling ALL GSX Jetway replacement files at once, by clicking the >>> button on the Enabled side, so they will all go on the Disabled side, and eventually Enable an airport, for that time you want to use the default scenery.

No that's not necessary. That's only when you use the PMDG ground services. It has no effect on GSX.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
