More shots from Japan

Featured Replies

Hi all,

As I  announced before I have some shots here from Japan in Aerofly FS4. This is quite interesting because there is no animated water in the sim.

So the water is made of painted textures which doesn't create any animations on one side but on the other side a good painter can make beautiful textures for light water and so.

It's a lot of work and needs advanced skills in Photoshop or Gimp or similar. Such orthoscenery is available at Flight-Sim.org as freeware hd scenery for the entire Japan.

Compared with Aerofly FS2 the Aerofly FS4 provides a lot of airports worldwide and also for Japan and the so called "cultivation", same as autogen. At the end it works....

I tried to show a few of the planes, but there are a lot more in the package, also GA and a CRJ and a Lear and some vintage planes. I like it.

Taking off at Iki Island in the north of Hirado Island. Nice to fly at Iki also with GA aircraft. aN2bt7k.jpeg

Fukuoka, large city area.

A bit east. And this shot shows such a painted water color, you have to be able to do that. Of course it's basically in the image but must be restored.

Again east of Fukuoka

Fine serie of 'Japan'-shots. My critic to AFS2/AFS4 is that the so called 'cultivation' consist of very blocky and squarry formed buildings with uniform flatten rooftops as city-sceneries.

Thank's. And you are basically right, that is one reason why the TE Netherlands looks better in P3d than in Aerofly FS2. But of course they can always improve

the quality of the autogen models and textures and it will be downloaded and installed via Steam. I think it is more a question of work capacity, it's not such a big company.

This will be done somewhere in the future I assume, they know about it.

Nice to see this other sim getting some attention here. Liked your shots!

Glad you like the shots, it was a little work to do it....Of course the entire environment of the sim is still in developement, but if you want to be happy

in msfs you will also go to an updated area. As I said above the sim can be updated online by Steam all the time. Currently they are working on the worldwide airports

and these are getting better and better. And they will later start to improve the blocky autogen and these simple textures, but this may take time.

The aircraft is up to date and it alll works.
