  1. Thank you very much PM!🙂
  2. Thank you PM 🙂! This here is quiete interesting for P3d users.... You can even invest more time if you wish and tune your sim for better results before posting. And if this takes a while it doesn't matter. Impress the simmers.... In these aspects I didn't do so much to be honest.
  3. Absolutely right and it has to do with those archive errors but too much work to look where it is. So it can be that I can correct it if needed but not now. If those xxx.bgl are not at Geneva you can easily do it on your own and do some shots than. The Switzerland shots 1 are correct and the Utah shots are correct.
  4. What I think is that it must be verified if the original creator of the sceneries is still alive and will be able to work on it. If not it's all useless because some more development will be needed. Of course also somebody else may take it all over and introduce him here as the new developer of FD SCenery, that will be fine. But development must go on.... Good to hear P_7878! 🙂
  5. Thank's a lot P_7878.
  6. Yes. But first of all he must correct the files and than i will download it again. It's important that the demos work. Freeware always supports payware... And another suggestion is to remove the Taiwan demo completely, it's not good.
  7. it's an archive error, I'm not the specialist for that. The result is that for Utah I cannot use 3 of those xxx.bgl.
  8. possibly Xcraft, have a look at org.store
  9. Yes, right and a nice shot. We've been arguing since weeks that they cannot shut down 2020 at all because of the tons of nice freeware and stuff. 2024 has a new SDK.
  10. Hi all, looks even better here at Utah but CRT-issues again. Where is Mr. Fernando? He can sign up at AVSIM and comment here on his own or send a friend to do so..... I want to see that these CRT-faults are out of the demos first of all because otherwise I cannot use all the xxxxx.bgl. Cheers Andreas
  11. Thank you P_7878. Have some nice shots from Utah as well but cannot post because of Cloudflare.
  12. Found some issues here so may be not the real thing yet. The reason are several "crt errors" while unzipping also duplicate filenames. Must be checked. Every xxx.bgl in a scenery must have it's own filename.
  13. Hi all, Cloudflare is annoying again. So this is nice orthoscenery around Geneva LSGG and I don't know any other orthos for P3d in that area. Usually developers work on details such as autogen placement for years, it's not easy. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas
  14. Hi all, there's a great new project for P3dv4 to P3dv6 featuring Ortho Scenery all over the world. Can also be used to close some gaps in the global scenery where no True Earth or so is available. Found a nice demo scenery for Switzerland but watch that this is a new project so development will go on. The Taiwan scenery needs some overhaul, so I recommend Switzerland demo. The filesize is not correct, I have 20gb download and install for the demo. https://www.fcscenerys.com/freeproductsdemo Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas
  15. As I said before I am myself most interested in the project because I want to preserve P3d on the long run. And to be honest I didn't know about fcscenerys yet and now I've looked at their website and it looks good, may be perfectly what we need to install worldwide scenery as desired for P3d for a little money. I am myself a multisimmer since longtime, look at my signature, and all my sims are 100 % functional so I basically know it all what will be needed to make this work. I will now list a random list of information here just for those who are interested and to support the project, hope this will help. FSX/P3d are most identical in terms of functionality but with the 32-bit limitations on memory usage FSX cannot really use sceneries based on aerial images, so it's out. FSX 4.5 is a perfect sim for those who really know it and can handle really all native fsx files, most important. This works a little less for v5 which I don't have and for v6.1 but seems to be more similar for v5 and v6, must always be tried out. The P3dv6 is a very strong sim and compared to v4.5 it has a better performance and new graphics/environment setup and a collection of postprocessing sliders to adjust it. And it can run most v4.5 sceneries based on aerialmages such as Orbx True Earth, so the entire True Earth England but True Earth is not available for all countries. It can also run the Orbx HD airports which may be used on top of also landclass sceneries but most airports are only upgraded for v5, so try it out. The sim is at patch v6.1.1 and works well but it seems to be that LM are not really active in the desktop market currently though all sims and downloads are available on the website. Of course again all 32-bit versions are out for the project here again. The Pilots mesh (FS Global) is a wellknown worldwide mesh since FSX so it can be used with an older version as well to start the project but the new version 2024 is more precise. Orbx FTX Global Base is a huge texture upgrade and here also a lot of details look better. Primarily installs and ovewrites textures with Orbx high qualitiy. Orbx FTX Global landclass offers basic landclass based on OSM data and covers a few continents based on a little dataspace but is a bit outdated and cannot compete in visuals. For storage in the beginning a diskspace will be sufficient which fits the individuel project. My recommendation to start from scratch is first install fcscenery for Ireland and check it all out and than Orbx True Earth England all 3 parts and this will be a huge coverage for longtime fun and flying. 1 TB diskspace will do it. And this may either be stored on SSD or HDD. My experience is that a SSD here does not improve the performance so much and it may be an external usb drive as well. And for any reason the WD 2TB 2,5" pocketdrive for example works better than the 4TB. Startup times will be more influenced by the main thread but for copying entire sceneries to a backup the very fast expensive usb ssd will be a huge advantage. Default airports: This is the feature where default P3d completely looses and Xplane is by far the best and for free. The P3d default airports are mostly based on FSX and are very simple if there is no upgrade available installed by addons. The msfs default airports are simple as well and it's because they assume that it will be upgraded by hd airports everywhere. But who wants to buy 100 hd airports for 2000 €? So the winner is Xplane here. The concept is to provide a so called "scenery gateway" which is always active and the sim will download the current version for all airports worldwide. And these are constantly upgraded for free by the community. Flightmodel: The winner again is Xplane because of the only physical based flight model, than P3d and than msfs which is considered to be more a game also by microsoft themselfs. Autogen: These complete Ortho sceneries are made out of aerial images and autogen/overlay and for P3d the images are stored in xxxx.bgl files and the autogen in xxx.agn files. Important: The xxx.agn files are mainly responsable to do the object classification and placement of the autogen, the visual appearence of the object more depends on all the texture files in the sim. So it's possible to improve it by upgrading this independent from the placement. Most important: To activate a huge amount of addons in P3d will only be sucessful by using the addons system for a lot of reasons. All scenery and aircraft addons must be loaded via addons.cfg and you must ensure that all layer numbers are correctly defined in the addons.xml inside the addons folder. This can be achieved using the free Lorby Addon Organizer and you will see how it works. Don't have the download link available here now.... Shots show Munich Area and Orbx Germany South Region Scenery which is landclass. First class landclass scenery but outdated. I will next week or so download the FCsceneries for Germany and Belgium and do a first test. And shots again from there. Cheers Andreas
  16. Yes, the FS9 zibo mod and the FS9 Levelup, somebody may actually believe that at the end.....
  17. Hi all, please have a look here at the rather new Sukhoi SU95X which is currently in service in Russia. Great exteriour model and paints by Headwind Simulations. Flying and interiour model based on FlyByWire A320. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas
  18. Have that JAL paint now also on the B737, looks good.
  19. Interesting to see P_7878, thank you.
  20. Thank's a lot P_7878 and there are even more nice paints available in the package.
  21. Most interesting post here because I have P3dv4.5 and v.6.0 installed since long time and I currently use the older Orbx sceneries there. And I can fly most native FSX sceneries and aircraft there and I will never give that up . At Orbx I have all the perfect True Earth sceneries installed but these cover only a few countries worldwide. I've had a look at the website and looks good and there is a reasonable pricing for single countries. It's possible to install single countries to fill the gap and I will defenetily try that out.
  22. Nice set Todd and great aircraft, I use it 2020 as well.
  23. Yes indeed and every old simmer knows about that fantastic freeware. And you are right, it's exactly the old Twin Commander by Milton Shupe. But I want to say something else: I myself am a longtime Orbx customer, not an employee. And I have, in the Orbx environment, a few longtime colleagues and we received information from anywhere that possibly at Microsoft/Asobo there are plans to shut down Microsoft Flightsimulator 2020 in the near future in favor of Flightsimulator 2024 for any reason we don't know. And you know as an experienced simmer that for some reasons with a view to the new SDK and so on this won't work for a lot of great addon designers like Milton Shupe who are doing either great freeware or payware and are more or less lone fighters. They of course cannot afford to bring it all over. And now I hope that you are willing, based on your knowledge, to proof that this true. The very simple solution is to go on with both sims for at least 10 years and all people involved can make there decision which Microsoft Flightsimulator to use. Thank you!
  24. So far I didn't receive any information if they will go on with 2020 on the long run PM but I'll keep you up to date next weeks or so.
  25. Thank's a lot PM, really nice one here! 🙂 It's a very flyable former version of the original payware model. Only watch the throtlle a bit and don't exceed 250 knots. The plane is completly free. The current payware is on a very high standard but I didn't fly it yet.
