Fenix A320 B2 - Auto Throttle

Featured Replies

Having issues with auto throttle engaging when I’m climbing, I drop from MCT/FLX to climb and THR LVR stays in green but THR CLB flashes below in white.

when doing this I get a message on the ECAM saying move throttle forward, which then i go into MAN Thrust.

I’ve calibrated the throttle as I just use a controller and played around with the nullzones. Can’t figure it out.

Ive used the CFM before the B2 update and input everything directly into the MCDU. Pretty sure I’m doing everything right, but unsure if procedures regarding this are the same in the IAE.

Hoping someone can help me on this one!

This does sound an awful lot as if yout throttle isn't calibrated correctly.

Do you have two independent throttles? Maybe they're calibrated differently?

In any case, you can do a test: Open the calibration page on the MCDU and move your throttles to the CLB detent. The calibration page should display something like "IN DETENT CLB" (I forget the exact wording.) If it does, that means the calibration is correct (and something else is wrong). If it doesn't say you're in the climb detent, repeat the calibration until you can get this page to reliably display that you're in the detent.

Edit: To answer your question, the IAE works exactly the same on this respect as the CFM.

What throttle device do you have?

Intel Core i9 13900K, NVidia RTX 4090 FE, Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64GB@6000MHz, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe M2, Asus OLED PG42 UQ

Just move your throttle up and down very slowly until the message goes out, then it is set correctly in climb. Also set your null zone to about 5 or 6.

Hi All,

Thanks for your responses. I’m using an Xbox controller on my laptop. I had calibrated it but due to me using a controller I have “incremental throttle control” switched on.

I had calibrated my throttle in that setting and had meant that that they weren’t sitting in the detent by .005 %. I’ve since re calibrated with the setting switched off and works fine.

Thank-you 👍🏾
