So what was PMDG's "big reveal?".

It was mentioned, it just was NOT as significant a problem as the many problems going on with Boeing

My point was about media coverage and not a direct comparison of issues. If the oxygen issue was with Boeing aircraft it would've been front page news.

Media covers what might be the "bigger" story, always have and always will.  No different than what a friend or family member may emphasize or even this website or any website ... but regardless of front page, or back page, or middle page, or no page it doesn't change the event.

In my experience people tend to generalize "the media" as some sort of "enemy" when they report on things a person doesn't like or doesn't want to hear/see/read.  As with all things being "reported" by "the media" or "a friend" or "family" or "the expert" ... research is required to validate or invalidate or clarify the actual reality and that responsibility lies squarely on the shoulders of the information consumer.  If we allow inaccurate/bad/false information live in our heads it can result in a bad decision somewhere in the future.

With that said, some of the issues being reported for any Boeing aircraft can be attributed to poor maintenance, lack of proper walk around by crew, etc. ... not necessarily related to the quality control issues at Boeing and/or partner companies.

Unfortunately Boeing are going down the same road as before with "fire the CEO" and maybe an "exec" or two.  This does nothing productive.  If the CEO really cared he would have the guts to change the course of Boeing mgmt and overall operational process (safety first) and face the music.  Instead, the board of directors are once again doing the finger pointing game and the next "bonus" driven CEO will take over and business as usual. They know the government has to bail them out and that will likely be in them not having to pay taxes for the next several years ... worse case they get a ridiculously low interest government loan.
