how to disable mechanic & purser

Featured Replies

how to disable  mechanic & purser ? I do not need them I use GSX for these and other stuff. My issue sometimes at take off dude yells like I run over them or something.. i did not have it in PMDG but now fly in Fenix and every take off someone is complaining as if I was running over them or something. I never talk to them or anything but yeah.. so I was wondering if I can just diable them altogether.

Also this

[OPTIONS]

DisableVolumeFade=1

does not seem to work to diable MCE doing this weird thing it does with sound settings. I found mce.ini buried somewhere in appdata folders I think it is the right one.

Thanks

Use this instead

[OPTIONS]

DisableVolumeFade=0

By default (option missing in config file), disabling action is enabled and you get the pop-up

With regards mechanic...

He's so integrated in terms of GPU, chocs, cargo doors handling that it could break existing pre-made flows. So, would be a bad idea to make him optional.

Having said that, you need to know that the mechanic only pops-in when you verbally call "cockpit to ground" (or other variants), or triggered automatically via a flow which requires putting GPU and chocks in.

Before moving the plane, just say "ground you may leave" (or create your own custom speech command to get rid of him". See tis thread

What can be done, is an option to prevent that audio where he moans about you running him over, since it doesn't involve any action.

As for cabin crew, they just handle doors and react to announcements.

Try to fool them that you are about to takeoff "cabin crew prepare for takeoff" when no engines are running, or ask them to open doors when the plane starts moving (or engines running, can't remember)

ok sounds good i will give these options a try

thanks

Forgot to mention...

When MCE detects you are using GSX, it automatically switches to that mode. Also means, when you ask mechanic for pushback, he's expected to transfer you to GSX pushback and disconnect himself, unless you have option "Keep mech on push." enabled in "Asdvanced Options" panel, in which case you need to release him any time before taxying.

If you still tend to forget about mechanic, Add the following option

[RAMP]

CanHurtMechanic=0

It's enabled by default.

Get new patch before the option can be accepted.
