Re: File cdx.zip

Hi.Has anyone tryed this file out. It's supposed to give you a cold and dark cockpit each time when you create a free flight. You would think that Microsoft/Aces would have done something like that years ago. It would make "as real as it gets" that much more "real".Ernest

And when the average user tells Microsoft that they can't get their plane to move, what should Microsoft tell them? It is much easier to start with things up and running and have the User option of a cold, dark cockpit, then the other way around. No, hard core users are not the target marketing group of FS.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

I suppose a choice to toggle this feature on and off could be programmed and located in the realism settings menu? That would be a happy medium. Step 1: I loaded the default flight. No problem there.Step 2: I shut everything down by yanking the PC's power cord from the wall (There was a big blue flash & & bang - is my PC supposed to smoke like that?)Step 3: I got my magic marker and wrote "Make this flight the default flight" on the box that FSX came in as you suggested. Now my PC won't start ;(Are you sure your instructions were correct?..... :(- Skydrift
