April 11, 20242 yr No, the display will handle it for you. This is one of thousands of articles on the indaweb: How to Set Up Nvidia G-Sync for Smooth, Tear-Free PC Gaming | PCMag
April 11, 20242 yr For g-sync it’s recommended to have v-sync and ultra low latency set in NCP and v-sync off in sim. Quote G-SYNC + V-SYNC “On”: This is how G-SYNC was originally intended to function. Unlike G-SYNC + V-SYNC “Off,” G-SYNC + V-SYNC “On” allows the G-SYNC module to compensate for sudden frametime variances by adhering to the scanout, which ensures the affected frame scan will complete in the current scanout before the next frame scan and scanout begin. This eliminates tearing within the G-SYNC range, in spite of the frametime variances encountered. https://blurbusters.com/gsync/gsync101-input-lag-tests-and-settings/14/ Edited April 11, 20242 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
