  2. From Page 155 of the same document: "In the airport environment, the word ‘cleared’ shall only be used in connection with a clearance to take-off or land. To aid clarity, a take-off clearance will always be issued separately." Since BATC clears for lineup and takeoff in the same instruction: "Wind 040 at 3, runway 23L, lineup and cleared for takeoff". So nope.
  3. On the Chart is a clear "Actual descent clearance will be as directed by ATC"-Infobox and the minimum altitude is 7000. So if you havent got a further descend I would say BATC did it wrong. They always give out descends in RL anyway.
  4. I wasn´t until yesterday so what are you even talking about? Do a quick search on BATC threads here and you will have all information in a minute.
  5. No. FSHud controls FSLTL traffic. BATC does not (yet).
  6. No problem paying for this. The dev was very clear about the functionality. He had a somehow stellar marketing campaign running and all this stuff, but after the discord-survey it was pretty clear what you will get for your money. The "installation as admin" is a clear problem though. So at the end - he did a lot of work in advance and now he has to make some money - no problem with that. Nobody of us is working for nothing.
  7. Hahah lol.. who are you? Honestly - when charging 30 Bucks for a software that only works when admin rights are granted - I am freaking allowed to warn everyone about it - thats a kids mistake and nothing that should happen in professional software development, end of discussion. As sooner this problem is fixed the sooner the moaning will stop. And, just for the record, the workaround for "not connecting to sim" is "uninstall" and "reinstall with admin privileges".
  8. This "Install as admin" or "run as admin" is not working for me. I think we should give the dev some time to harden his piece of sh.. erm.. software.
  9. No AI traffic with BATC right now.
  10. Mine is not even running - it doesnt connect to the simulator. Early Access. 🙂 As expected. Watch their discord before you buy.
  11. ActiveSky with an ActiveWeatherChange on ActivePause makes an ActiveUnscheduledDisassembly of the aircraft 🙂 (Was in active Pause as new weather was injected and the plane overstressed). No idea where to report it so hopefully one of the devs is reading it here.
  12. I read Aerosoft at the first glimpse, got a bottle of champagne and drank it, now I realize that I misread the title.
  13. IFR approaches are handled either via vectoring, which is indeed not 100 % working (but in 9 out of 10 flights), OR via the simbrief flightplan via a STAR. It will clear you for the arrival, giving step descends, and when reaching the Fix it will either start vectoring you to the runway or clears you direct to the FAF including the final approach clearance.
  14. Having high end voices means 30 Euro a month 🙂 In both cases, I think. When SI manages to lower the price I assume that BATC will also be able to lower the price, when both rely to AI generated voices that cost money 🙂 But hey - lets make it more complicated 🙂
  15. If that was Easyjetsimpilot showed yesterday is BATC at the stage when it will be released - far worse. FAR worse.
  16. COMPARING SAYINTENTIONS VS BEYONDATC (AI VOICE ATC) - MSFS (youtube.com) BATC is far from being close to any of the both competitors.
  17. It´s somehow frustrating to see that we have a couple of products coming out the next months or already being in beta and none of them is able to provide the "solution" that all of the IFR-Airline-Pilots are looking for. For me the solution that is able to provide controlled AI-Traffic with realistic behaviour on the airfield, including departures/SIDs, approaches/STARs and "reacting" to the current traffic situation (shortcuts, no long approaches etc.) is the one that will make it. We have BATC not released yet, it will come without traffic, its a railed/boxed solution like FSHud and we don´t have any AI involved in ATC/controlled traffic. Price tag varies. We have FSHUD in beta where still is a lot of work to be done, it has traffic though and looks promising. No AI anywhere, a totally scripted solution. We have SayIntentions which is still in development, it has integration of Navigraph data but also in beta, no traffic. AI included, price tag (too?) high for the moment. We have VoxATC where I have no idea what the status is. But: We don´t have a "working" product yet. Let´s see what the future brings, at the end of the day one of them has to deliver.
  18. Spreading misinformation is also reality, Mr. Trump.
  19. "From what I have heard". Wow. From what I just did: Filed a flightplan EDDM to LSZH over simbrief. Fired up the Fenix B2 IAE and called clearance. Went to LSZH with complete flight following including handoffs, step climbs, descents and (ok - wrong) taxi instructions. So "What you have heard" is probably far from reality.
  20. What about "Sorry, I had no idea what I was talking about?" Unbelievable.
  21. Get your basics right and stop referring to "AI" when it is a scripted ATC. This is really a problem nowadays - people throw out a buzzword and people without the technical knowledge keep repeating totally wrong and misleading statements. This is annoying. Tell me that BATC uses a neuronal network and an external AI-Source to control ATC - get this question answered and I will change my opinion and post an apology everywhere you want me to do it. In the meantime I´ll stay with my opinion: The ATC-part of BATC is a scripted/coded part and runs on your computer with no communication with a modern, real "AI". End of story.
  22. I think with an AI having a complete situational awareness is the most promising approach to a good ATC solution. Sadly it´s expensive at the moment.
