Add additional export?

Featured Replies

With the latest BAe-146 update, it now needs the file plans to be put in its own folder. How can I add this new folder as an additional export option? It needs to go in: X:\<addonDirectory>\Aircraft\JustFlight BAE-146\justflight-aircraft-146\Work\JustFlight\FlightPlans

You cannot add an additional export folder but I plan to add this in the future. As usual, don't as when.🙃

But I can add a fixed export path for the BAE-146 for the next release.

  1. I suppose this is the normal MSFS PLN format, right?
  2. The aircraft is really installed outside the simulator path or is there a fixed path in the community folder?

Great, thanks.

1) i believe it's .RTE format

2) I keep my addons on an external ssd and user Addonlinker to link shortcuts into the Community folder, so that's my special path. So normally I think it's <MSFS_install_dir>\Community\JustFlight BAE-146\justflight-aircraft-146\Work\JustFlight\FlightPlans (but don't quote me on that)

Here's what it says in the manual:

Quote

Flight plans listed in the COPY PLT RTE menu are stored locally on your PC in an .RTE file format at the following file directory: C:\Users\**USERNAME**\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\ LocalState\packages\justflight-aircraft-146\work\JustFlight\FlightPlans.

That looks like a different path than what I use. maybe that's for microsoft store or something

Thanks a lot for the information. 👍

I can use the "<MSFS_install_dir>\Community\JustFlight BAE-146\justflight-aircraft-146\Work\JustFlight\FlightPlans" as a default. The user can change it anyway.

RTE, really? Is this the same stone age RTE as PMDG planes use? Can you simply the content of such a file here so I can identify it?

Thanks in advance,

Alex

Thank you a lot.🙂
This looks like a QualityWings RTE (had to look that up in the code). LNM has this in the multiexport as category "Aircraft" and usage "QualityWings".

Will add a separate entry for the BAe  to the next 3.0.7.

Hi Albar

Having waited for the RTE file loading for my JF Bae146 with eager anticipation, I regret to report I am having great difficulty! Maybe you can give me some guidance?

I have located the folder where the RTE files must reside for the FMS in the Just Flight Bae 146 to locate them. Its path is as follows:

 “F:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-1927959994-3213287941-2470612801-1000\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\justflight-aircraft-146\work\JustFlight\FlightPlans”

However, when I go to the Multiexport Flight Plan Options and after pasting the above path into the JF BAE146 row, I get the following message when I try to save the LNMPLN file in RTE format:

“The following export formats have an invalid path or filename pattern:

JustFlight BAE-146

Export stopped.”

I do have a workaround, I save the RTE file to the LNM suggested default location, then have to move this file to the correct location so that the FMS can find it, but this is a cumbersome process.

 Any suggestions?

Hi Nigel,

this looks like a very strange path. The "S-1-5-21-1927959994-3213287941-2470612801-1000" is probably a synonym for your login name.

Are you sure you enter the path in the right field and not in the "Filename Pattern"?

This is how it should look:

Ignore the Linux paths. This is from my development machine.

Hi Albar

Eureka! Success!

Decided to uninstall the 146 then re-install in the hope the path mightchange.  The path didn’t change nor did the path text, but when I copied it into the export path for the 146 in LNM, it was accepted and LNM now saves the RTE file into the correct 146 light plan folder. So, all is well.

Thank you for the update to the RTE file conversion.

Hi Nigel,

thank you for the confirmation!
It's always a bit like shooting into the dark when adding an export for an aircraft I don't own (which is mostly the case).🙃
