Aerocar Mini Imp cruises at 155 KTAS

Recommended Posts

The designer (1970's) said this plane was an altered version of the 1910 Fessenden Bullet !

In the '70s it used the common Volkswagen Bug air cooled car engine available at auto junk yards around America. The MSFS version uses the later plans version with a much more expensive engine that allows cruising at 155 knots. A main attraction is wonderful visibility from the cockpit. Stall is 37. Tricycle gear. The problem is lack of cargo capacity and so light it blows around in the weather. Which rules it out for adventures in the back country.

Is in the marketplace. Cheap.

Well it's not a tricycle gear as I now see in the video.

A1R does very beautiful aircraft....they're not super in depth but the "I'm there" factor is huge imo.  They also choose lesser known aircraft which is kinda neat.  This one is no different.  I'm not too fond of the Garmin "Aera" in the cockpit though.

I will probably capture this one when it comes to the 3rd party stores. Easy to visualize some cool repaints.
