May 20, 20242 yr Does Aerosoft Anchorage v2 (for P3D v5.4) have SODE jetways by default? I ask because I thought it didn't have SODE, so I went and installed the SODE files and double jetways showed up. After I deleted the SODE files and went back to default files I went back to the scenery and noticed jetways connected to the AI planes (I didn't notice that before and I don't have a SODE xml or SimObjects folder installed for PANC). So what is going?
May 20, 20242 yr Author I emailed them and I got an answer. They said they animated the Jetways using the P3D SDK. I did not know you could do that. I thought you can only get animated jetways with SODE or GSX.
May 20, 20242 yr P3D has always had animated jetways available via the SDK (aka "IK" jetways). There is an optional SODE enhancement for PANC and a number of the other Simwings sceneries that Aerosoft markets, which replaces the IK type jetways that ship with the scenery with nice custom SODE versions that integrate nicely with GSX. I tried to install it both manually and with the batch file with the same results.

It sounds like the SODE batch file is not replacing the original jetway placement bgl file (PANC_LIB-Jetways.bgl) with the modified version that has the IK jetways removed (PANC_LIB-Jetways-SODE.bgl). If, after running the SODE-ON batch file, you still have a file named PANC_LIB-Jetways.bgl in your Anchorage scenery folder, the batch file did not swap the files. The batch file *must* be located in the same folder as the addon...otherwise the target path names will be wrong. Also the addon should not be installed in any path that begins with " Program Files* " or Windows UAC may interfere in writing out the files.
