VPN first testing.

VPN is NORD. internet speeds (ookla) was 342 Mbps. I never got over 370 for the last year while not on a VPN. The internet service plan is "up to 400Mbps". Speeds are down about 10% with NORDvpn. Ping delays about the same, 10%

I would say that  on Reddit there are complaints with Surfshark (the cheapest of the big VPN companies):

Nord is not the most expensive of the biggies (that would be Express VPN, Express is often rated the best overall on many test sites. But it costs more. It is easiest of all to setup and use). But NORD has great customer service via chat, is the fastest of the big VPNs, and at least easier to use than most).

For security, CNET seems to like ProtonVPN. It is located in underground bunkers in Switzerland, is the most free from regulations allowing government demanding to see records, etc. It also has the most outside 3rd party security tests.

For MSFS be sure any VPN offers what I think is called split tunneling. With this feature you can just click on an application from the list of apps on your computer, and the VPN will not go into effect for that app. Such as choose flightsim.exe and MSFS will bypass the VPN to give max internet speeds. NORD has this feature, but so does all of the others, I think.

After the introductory period, Express is about $13 a month, NORD about $10, Surfshark about $8, I think Proton is about $11, if I remember correctly. All have cheaper costs the first 2 years.
