FSX ATC in MSFS 2024 Trailer?

Featured Replies

This is my first topic post here because I have not seen anyone else who has noticed this. If you listen closely it sounds unmistakably like a clip of FSX ATC audio in the MSFS 2024 trailer around the 30 second mark.

https://youtu.be/rvzlC4iCtns?feature=shared&t=27

It says:

"IFR flight plan is cancelled, radar service terminated. Expect [something] below flight level 120. Squawk 1200."

This is very close to what I found in EditVoicePack for FSX pilot voice "J":

"IFR flight plan is cancelled, radar service terminated. Squawk 1200. Maintain VFR. Frequency change approved."

This could just be an easter egg and I don't want to get my hopes up, but I miss the FSX ATC so much. The default ATC and addons in X-Plane and MSFS sound so terrible and harsh to the ears that I have never used them. This would be a dream come true at least for me.

It's kinda wild that in the age of AI, we would be happy about going back 20 years or so in terms of ATC...

I mean...."I miss the ATC of fsx so much" is not a sentence I ever thought I would read in my life....

Beyond ATC and SayIntentions could be descent subscription alternatives but at least as default ATC is concerned FSX ATC was the only one I could listen to without throwing off my headset. The MSFS default ATC has to be one of the worst I've ever heard.
