So, good news I think is that there are plenty of sun visors in the cockpit. Don't know about you guys, but i can't stand that being ommited in VR

Somehow getting the feeling that the cockpit is a bit too small in VR, similar to their 737. Perhaps needing a 5-10% increase in world scale.... not sure.

Long trips in the 777 so there's a need to kill the time. Taking a businessclass seat I see large tv screens.

How long will it take before we can see an inflight entertainment system so I can watch a movie on a 2d screen in that cabin? Login with your streaming service account etc...:)

I’m not sure because I‘ve never sat in a 777 cockpit but I agree, it does feel a bit small. 

Haha, I 'solved' the missing inflight entertainment 'issue'.

I forgot that with the Quest 3/ Oculus link software you can simply pin any screen/ window from you Windows desktop and bring that inside the aircraft. With a bit of practice it's very easy to adjust position and size of those in your 3D space. 

So, during those long hauls I can take a break from the flight deck, take a seat in the cabin and enjoy looking at the wings or engines while watching a stream on my pretend tv screen on the back of the seat in front of me.

So. for instance watch a video about the 777 inside the 777 itself. How cool is that eh?!  LOL

No, I use the usb-c link cable from Meta with Quest 3

When you're in the Home environment of the Meta Quest Link App and see your dashboard you can click on the button to open a new window. This window can be anything that you have opened on your PC at that time including a browser like Edge for instance.

Then you click on the 'pin' button at the right bottom corner of that window so it will stay there when you switch MSFS to VR mode.

With your controllers you can resize and reposition that window relative to your viewpoint (toggle the Meta button of your right hand controller to show the Meta Home environment without having to leave VR mode in MSFS)

Of course you need to use the ALT-TAB on your keyboard to cycle through the windows/apps that are opened on your PC so as to bring back focus to MSFS when you've lost it.

Openkneeboard is a good option too.

FS Chatter. It plays random ATC chatter that has nothing to do with your flight. But the files it plays are just .mp3 files. And they are all dropped by the installation into one big folder. I removed them all. And put "old time radio" .mp3 files in there. These are 15,30, or hour long radio shows from the 1930s and 1940s. Once a program starts it plays the whole program  (the app thinks it's an ATC message, but it's an old time radio show).

You can dump random shows or maybe all Burns and Allen shows, or all Lights Out, or all Lone Ranger. Or mix in a variety.

There are a thousand or more of these old time radio shows on hobby sites, all free. All are .mp3 files. For instance there was a zip file was every Sherlock Holmes program for 30 years on the radio (hundreds of shows).

Another idea: dump your favorite .mp3 music in that folder.
