PSXT_P3D (unlicensed!) as static aircraft generator

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

PSXT_P3D, a real time live traffic generator for P3D, can now be used  without a RealTraffic license subscription (thus completely free!), to populate the airports that you visit with static parked aircraft.

The aircraft will be set at gates based on historic data from week 1, 2024, courtesy RealTraffic.

PSXT_P3D parks static aircraft of the right airline, model and livery at the right gate at the right hour and day of the week, no empty airports!

If you fill in your destination airport, the parking starts when the airport is in sight (otherwise after you have landed).
You can also enter the gate number where you want to park, to prevent it is occupied when you arrive.

Thanks for the heads-up, Kiek! Actually, I'm more interested in the P3D version than the MSFS one. I'll give it a try tonight.

As in previous versions, will PSXT just pick the AI from the models you have already installed, right?

Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX3060 Ti 8GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120 Hz (G-sync compatible, but disabled), Windows 11 (at last!). Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020 and even FS9. On the fence for MSFS2024.

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there for airliner ops. FSX-SE also installed, just in case. Lossless Scaling in al my rigs. What a godsend...

Perfect, thank you very much. I installed PSXTraffic_P3D and gave it a try. However, I can't see any parked aircraft. These are the settings I have:

This is the result I get:

Not a single plane in sight. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but I can't find what. My idea is to use it simply as a static aircraft generator.

You must have an invalid  license file still hanging around, because this is not what you would see unlicensed.

Delete C:\Users\<you>\ApoData\roaming\InsideSystems\realtraffic.lic

Thanks, Kiek. I don't have that folder. Makes sense, since I never used Real Traffic at all, and never used PSXT in my current rig before.

@Luis HernandezThat's your problem. PSXTraffic_P3D cannot be run without a license, you must install and run PSXT_P3D as indicated in my original post!

Oops, my bad. I didn't see there was a difference. I'll try again with the correct one.

I tried again with the new one. However, while I get parked aircraft at FlyTampa TNCM and Sierrasim SKBG, all my other airports are modified AFCADs. In SKBO (with an AFCAD I did by myself), I get the same situation I used to get before:

No traffic in sight. Also, there's no "TO_BE_LEARNED_OFFLINE" folder. Editing the XML at PSXT_P3D\airports\learned\thirdparty\unknown gives no traffic at all. How to fix this?
