July 5, 20241 yr Anyone ever figure out how to zero out the data use counter in MSFS? I tried changing the date to reset it, and nothing works, it always just keeps counting?/
July 5, 20241 yr You have to do it through your Win10/11 network configuration. In Windows go to "Network and Internet Settings" and if that's not a problem for you then click "Data usage" and from there click RESET at the lower right button. This will RESET all application counters, including the MSFS counters. Again, this is assuming you don't need those counters for any other purposes. I do it every 1 or 2 months to check how much bandwidth I've used from my Home Internet connection. I do believe / recall having zeroed it that way... but these days I do such mess at times that you'd better not trust me 100% 🤣 I'll pick the 777 update and try to fly it before dinner, but before that I'll test it and report back ! July 5, 20241 yr Yep, others have been asking the same: How to clear current data consumption - User Support Hub / User Interface & Activities - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums Please explain "Data Consumption" section - Discussion Hub / General Discussion - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
July 6, 20241 yr So, followup here: - today I loaded MSFS 2020 for a morning refreshing PMDG 777 circuit and I had set, yesterday, the reset day to July 6... Still the same DATA Counter value here 😕 OTOH the circuit in the PMDG 777 was GREAT!
