July 18, 20241 yr I Posted on the main Form an issue wont post it all here but summary: Been away for a week, nothing changed, now it gets that the bar is almost to the end when loading then CTD, have added nothing since last used it a week ago? Same in Safe Mode Tried PC reboot, tried PC shut down etc I have the store edition have signed in an out of the store and the Xbox app rebooted and still the same , done all the maintenance stuff scan system etc etc updated graphics card PROBLEM CAUSED BY META SOFTWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOLVED; Posting solution here. to help anyone else who gets this ! !! Now I fly in VR, but I always load up MSFS in 2d first, set up flight then switch to vr and put my headset on. If I want to just do a bit of 2D I don't plug my headset in or load up the Meta software. Well it seems there was an update to my headset when I used it for another pc app, and I was signed up to the beta. Removed the Beta and installed the stable Meta Software, not even plugged my headset in or loaded the Meta software and MSFS now loads fine. Once loaded VR works fine ! Crazy that this would affect it !!!!!! No idea why, something in the Beta Meta software must have been running in the background and interfering ( even though my Quest 2 was not plugged in or switched on) or the Meta app running?? Crazy ! Oh well all sorted now but lost my flying window , lol !!! ;-( 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
July 18, 20241 yr There are reports that the upcoming v68 Meta update causes issues with OpenXR Toolkit. From your description, you might have downloaded the v68 beta. Reports and response from the OXR Toolkit developer here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/openxr-toolkit-no-longer-working-oculus/649099/2 A possible solution is to start OXR Toolkit in safe mode and reset its MSFS settings. Or as a workaround, disable OXR Toolkit before starting MSFS and enabling it afterwards. Edited July 18, 20241 yr by JacquesBrel

I know how to disable openxt toolkit, but how do you reenable it after you are in a vr session? If I use the companion app once in the vr session and untick "Disable the Open XR Toolkit" I cant seem to open it while in the vr session so assume its not running? How do I manually launch it? Many thanks 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
July 18, 20241 yr I have not done any of this myself, as I have no issues so far. I would assume you re-enable OXR toolkit when the MSFS main menu is up, before you enter your MSFS VR session.
July 18, 20241 yr Author Thanks tried that think it must run on first launch at least I know that what issue is now and if meta don’t alter the next release I know what to do 😎 In meantime I have messaged meta to see if ff they are interested in fixing it on the beta really appreciate your input 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
July 22, 20241 yr The developer of OpenXR Toolkit posted some information about the issue on Reddit today. It's a bug on Meta's end, and he has provided them with details. So hopefully Meta could fix it before v68 goes live. Otherwise, OpenXR Toolkit may be a thing of the past after v68.
July 22, 20241 yr Author I’ve fingers crossed 🤞 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
