July 25, 20241 yr [25JUL24] Updates, Updates and more Updates... Today, 21:50 Captains, PMDG 777-300ER Updated to 2.00.0041: A few moments ago we went live with a new micro update for your 777, This brings you up to build 2.00.0041, and rounds out a few more fixes to improve stability of the product and knock down at least one potential freeze inducing code issue. This update was focused primarily on some core functionality to improve efficiency, reduce resource demands and address a couple more of these freezing issues that affect the user experience. You will notice that there is a bit of a shift away from non-critical fixes, and this happens because the majority of the team are currently focused on wrapping up the 77F development so that we can hand her to the beta team as the next step toward getting all you freight dogs a new airplane. You can obtain this latest update from the PMDG Operations Center. Simply run the OC and then go to product updates and you will be presented with the upgrade. The latest update we have from Microsoft is that we will have access to a testing build on PC/XB early next week. Hopefully that goes smoothly and it will be released to you on either 01AUG or 08AUG at latest. We will keep you informed as we learn more. NOTE: We have reached out to Microsoft for refreshed guidelines and limitations on the availability of livery packs in MSFS and asked for their guidance on procedures to maximize the value to customers. Once we have that guidance we will submit them to Marketplace in a manner that provides the least cost impact to XB users. I recognize that there is quite a bit of misinformation about this process floating around out there but rather than guess we simply go to the source for information and we will submit those in whatever way provides best value to the user. Stay tuned for more information as we get it. PMDG 737 Updates for Marketplace Customers: We have been informed by Microsoft that later today the 737 will receive it's update for Marketplace PC/XB users. This will bring the Marketplace build up to parity with the current street version available directly from PMDG. PMDG DC-6 Cloudmaster Updates for Marketplace Customers: We have been informed by Microsoft that later today the DC-6 will receive it's update for Marketplace PC/XB users. This will bring the Marketplace build up to parity with the current street version available directly from PMDG. PMDG 737: Moving new 777 features backward into 737: We currently anticipate this work taking place after the 77F release, which is pending. To give you some expectations on timing, we anticipate moving the 737 over to the new navdata format, while also bringing the tablet up to the same level of functionality as we have in the 777. This will take place over a series of updates as the work goes through testing and is deemed ready for rollout, so look for a bunch of 737 updates a bit later in the summer. Some folks have asked about some other cabin-centric features and updates, including lighting, seating, cockpit door, cockpit windows etc. We are evaluating which of these will take on and how they will fit into the existing development flow for the 737, 777 and 747 product lines. Once we have definite decisions we'll let you know- but they are being reviewed for planning along with a number of other items that are on our want-to-do list. Okay- that about covers today... We hope you are all enjoying some great 777 and 737 flying in the days ahead! I wonder if this is the mis-information, or perhaps MS need to update their docs... (emphasis mine) Catalog Price: This is the price (in US dollars) of the add-on on the Marketplace. This can be free ($0.00) or can be between $4.99 and $149.99. Source: https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Developer_Mode/Project_Editor/Marketplace_Data.htm
