FSX Scenerey Move to New Computer

Recommended Posts

Hello, All.

I am helping someone migrate FSX to a new Win11 computer and am having trouble with scenery that has been added.

When I move the Scenery folder as well as the scenery.cfg file, the added scenery is not recognized.  On top of that, when I add scenery manually within the tools of the sim, the data is in the scenery list (in the sim) but it is also not showing in the scenery.cfg file as an added area.  The scenery (when manually added) does appear to be active, but I don't understand why the .cfg file doesn't show an added area.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,

Rather than just migrating over a scenery folder to the new computer, have you tried formally reinstalling some scenery (I am assuming airport scenery) and see if that is recognised and active in the new setup?
