Alive & kicking !!!

We can now have a custom Q-400 sim, with a paradisiac scenery to fly !!!

P3dv6 would be my option.

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

This is awesome. I already have Aerosoft for the area, but I will be glad if someone that has both to make compare. Hope FSDG is better, I might purchase it later.

No screenshots? How are we to judge the quality of the product?

These guys have a good reputation so it looks a decent deal. I trust updates will follow when the main terminal is completed…

  • New terminal included (still under construction)

This was posted by FSDG on Facebook, when the question was raised post MSFS version release:

Some of you are contacting us, asking: "Why are the jetways at VRMM not working?"
The answer is simple: The new terminal isn't finished yet. Originally intended to be finished shortly after the new Seaplane Terminal was opened (2022), there is still a lot of construction work going on inside the new main terminal. It is expected the new terminal will not open before mid 2025.
So, obviously, the jetways cannot be operative.
That is why we built the terminal the way it is in reality, with a non-finished terminal and static jetways.
Of course, as soon as the terminal & jetways will be operational in reality, we will update our scenery respectively.

Kind Regards,

Peter

Thanks for posting this. Happy to see they ported their new version over to P3D after initially releasing it for MSFS. I'll probably pick it up sometime soon. Static jetways should only be a small speed bump; only take a few mins to create a SODE/GSX alternative.

FWIW that old scenery was built by the same developer - FSDG (Thorsten) - it was just published by Aerosoft. It's definitely better than default, but it's easy to see how out-of-date it is.

A cursory comparison shows the new one includes the expanded islands, bridge connector, new seaplane base, full-parallel taxiway & new runway, and obviously the new terminal complex. Also will be nice to have updated texture sets. Comparatively speaking, suppose it should be noted that both these new "Maldives Atolls" and "Male" will cost ya 27EUR combined, while the all-in-one FSX package still remains at 15EUR.

Does anyone else have any issues in v4 with the airport and the atolls enabled at the same time, it just won't load past 37%? If I disable the atolls, the airport loads in fine but with both it just freezes whilst loading.

Kind Regards,

Peter
