Trying to map this LVAR from the Duckworks DC-3

Featured Replies

I've been messing with the demo for a couple days now, trying to see if it would help me map some things in the Duckworks DC-3 modded plane. And I've been successful in getting the cowl flaps and the superchargers to work, but I've not been able to do the one thing I was really hoping AAO could map, which is this pump handle which is needed for the autopilot.

The dev tells me the lvar is HydPumpSelectorHandle and I can also verify this in the DevMode Behavior tools with the CTRL-G thing when you hover the mouse over the handle. But AAO doesn't show it in any of the events, nor does it fire in the Simulator Events (as the cowl flaps and supercharger handles did) when it's activated. Reading the AAO manual says I can do a manual assignment, so I've tried that, but I'm failing here as well.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, or is this one thing that's simply not possible with AAO?

LVars that shall be sychronized with the simulator MUST have a unit. Otherwise they are treated as internal variables that never leave AAO.

When in doubt use the default ", Number"

Thanks, that did the trick!

I'm no longer a demo user now either. Great program, well worth the price.

I also wanted to add....I didn't expect how good the voice recognition would be. I've been using VoiceAttack for years now, and I was really surprised at how well AAO does this. I swear the recognition works much better for some reason, I never have to repeat a phrase to get it to fire.
