September 24, 20241 yr Hi all, after trying 2 motherboards ( high spec) and 3 different sets of 6000 DDR5 ram , iam coming to conclusion i may just have a weak chip ( 7800X3D ) because whatever i try a cannot achieve stable Expo. every time i try and set expo or manual o/c, in whatever confiq my PC just doesn't boot. i have to perform a hard reset ( button on the case ) it must be the CPU right ? if i reset to load optimal defaults or carry out CMOS reset its starts normally ! iam out of ideas now ROG Crossair Hero X670e , 9900X, TUF 4090 , X4 NVME's. OS 2TB 980 Pro , MSFS 2TB WD Black , Kington Fury 64GB ram ( 6000) Corsair RM1000 PSU, Artic Freezer iii 360 AIO . Phanteks P600s Case ,TCL QM8B 50" 120 Hz TV,second 24 inch screen for charts you tube etc, and 11" touch screen for the EFB. Warthog Stick and TCA Captains throttle ( full pack) Velocity 1 Rudder Pedals , extreme3D for the Tiller,Streamdeck XL x2 / Streamdeck +/Streamdeck mini because i like pressing buttons

September 24, 20241 yr It could be a few things, not necessarily the CPU. 1. Did you update the motherboard bios? You have a great motherboard, and it should be able to handle your 64Gb memory with ease. 2. Is your memory 2 or 4 sticks? Did they come as a set? 3. Did you plug in all of the CPU power cables? I believe it has two on top left and one next to the ATX 24 pin power socket. It is a very powerful board you have, make sure you feed it with the power it requires. 4. Kingston Fury memory is good, but the specific model may be incompatible with your board. (Latest bios may fix that). Is your specific Kingston sticks EXPO certified? I would not give up on the CPU so soon. Regards
