October 14, 20241 yr I've just flown the same ILS approach on X Plane, so I know it's definitely not my fault! I have some idea what I am meant to be doing. (Cheers, Froogle!) Using the stock C172 (not G1000) and using the nav radio (not the ILS via GPS / RNAV unit approach), FS2020 is not receiving any localiser information. The approach is ISN approach into Southampton (EGHI), the frequency is 110.75 and the course is 199°. In the same aircraft - on the very same flight - the SAM VOR (113.35) is received properly and whatever radial I choose to follow is indicated. Is there something wrong with ILSs in FS2020? I must be honest in that it might be an ancient problem that I just never noticed. The GPS / RNAV approaches work as expected. I have actually tried similar stuff into different airports and none seem to have an active ILS.
October 14, 20241 yr Do you have Navigraph Navdata installed and if so did you update the current cycly AFTER it was initially released? If not, the first release was missing all the ILS data so you have to update it.
October 14, 20241 yr Author It's all up to data as far as I know. Hmmm... okay... 2410 rev.4. I'll try again!

You still need to verify /dial correct frequency and get ILS identify with morse code. My bet is your problem in navdata. Make sure you have current cycle. If you are using Navigraph they updated it a lot recently. Check their app make sure it's up to data. I flown numerous ILS in the past days and they work fine Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). Like I said: I know what I am meant to be doing. Still, both you @sd_flyer and @Farlis were correct. I updated Navigraph and all was wonderful. I last updated Navigraph only a about ten days ago and assumed that that would be okay for another 28 says. Thank you , both, Edited October 14, 20241 yr by The_Flying_Potato
October 16, 20241 yr Author I was actually having trouble with the Black Square analogue Beech Baron but wasn't sure whether it was my ineptitude with the PMS GTN750 unit or not. That's why I was testing with the C172s. Happily, the Beech Baron also is behaving itself now and intercepts glide slopes like a good 'un.
