October 26, 20241 yr So far, I’m very happy with the Seneca V and the Soundstudios sound pack. But, after landing and shutting down the engine, it is very slow to go to the main screen. Then, after finally getting to the main screen, the QUIT SIM never shows up. I have to continually press ALT F4 to finally quit the sim. Hoping someone else has this option and found a way to close MSFS quickly and properly. PC: AMD 9850X3D, RAM 64GB, Geforce GTX 5090 (32GB), MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, Pimax Super 50PPD, Quest 3

October 26, 20241 yr Author Just double checked by doing a quick flight from KAVL to KCLT with the original sound pack. Yes, after completing the flight and shutting down the plane, when I choose the main menu, it quickly goes there and then the QUIT SIM button appears. So, everything acts as it should with the original sound pack. I'm open to any ideas on how to 'debug' this... October 27, 20241 yr Author Just in case someone else runs into this, I think I found the problem. While the sound pack provides a new 'layout.json' file, it does not work correctly. If you use it, the Seneca V does not even show up as an available plane. So, after backing up the original 'layout.json' file (in case you need/want to go back), you must replace: { "path": "SimObjects/Airplanes/Carenado_PA34_Seneca_V/sound/Carenado_PA34_Seneca_V.PC.pck", "size": 36403086, "date": 133251140536530208 }, with all of the wave files included in the sound pack. Somehow, when I did this, I kept the above in the modified 'layout.json' file. While this still works to provide the new sounds, it leads to a problem when closing down MSFS. After deleting the above and saving it, MSFS started closing correctly. PC: AMD 9850X3D, RAM 64GB, Geforce GTX 5090 (32GB), MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, Pimax Super 50PPD, Quest 3
