Thanks for all of the info Stearmandriver.

But one question left is, we have a WX. Folder. As I point wx.file of simbrief downloader into that file I still cannot uplink wind data in fmc as it says wind dat uplink invalid.

What is the main reason for this? AIRAC version perhaps?

I am using activesky msfs.

Hmm sorry, that I can't help you with, I haven't tried it with Active sky.  I did put my simbrief ID in, and then I'm able (after generating a flight plan on Simbrief) to uplink my route and legs and descent winds.  I don't use any files or folders for that, but you might have to for Activesky.  What I do:

1.  In the EFB main menu screen, at bottom right, I click "initialize flight" (or something like that).

2.  On the FMC Route page, I select "request" without entering any information first, then load the route once it is available (slight uplink delay simulated).

3.  Then do the same for Legs and Descent winds.

Wow. I have 10 flights and have never had that happen. Not normal for sure.

Okay, I always intialize flight yes. I have pointed a wx. File, to work folder ifly has a folder with navdata and wx.

I then load up flt plan and legs load data page and request winds but I get this invalid uplink notification.

Frustrated by this because it should work right?

I am thinking only about the order, I tried it after choosing sid/star. Perhaps I should to this before.

And how about INIT REF page? Cruise temperature / avg wind. These remain blank...
