Cessna Longitude heading control

Featured Replies

Heading control on autopilot panel does not respond to mouse clicks or hover/rotations.

Is it possible to uninstall/ reinstall just one aircraft to "refresh" that installation?

All the other controls on that panel work fine.

Other aircraft with a Heading control work as well.

It's just the Longitude's heading knob.

Any ideas would be welcome. (Of course I have rebooted and restarted the PC and Sim several times)

Thanks

A while ago, this was caused by an old HJet that needed to be updated, as it overwrote some core G3000 files. Marwan and the great folks at FFX have long since fixed that though, so if you happen to have the HJet, make sure that it is fully updated.

Other possible reasons we have seen for this include realism mods, lights mods, and stuff like that.

Thanks, but no HJet

The only mod I have in the Content Manager is from Working Title: Citation Longitude Enhanced.
I've had that since it came out and I should have mentioned that everything was working perfectly yesterday.
I can't think of anything I did between the last time it worked and now.

Something overwrote something else, I know, technical right?

So my main thought is to just reload the Longitude but not sure how to do that without causing a wholesale redo of the sim.

Go to content manager uninstall then reinstall.

Thanks,

Forgive my ignorance but:
1) Delete all entries for the Longitude in Content Manager, i.e., Premium Upgrade, Citation Longitude Enhanced, etc
2) Then is reinstall automatic on restart?
Or is it over to the MarketPlace and hope it knows I already Own it?

Back to the content manager. I don't' think its automatic, not 100%sure, but the enhancement portion certainly isn't.

RESOLVED
MattNischan gets the gold star for this solution.
He mentioned HJet but I wasn't using that a/c but did have it in my Community folder.
That was it - deleted HJet and problem goes away.
Thanks Matt

By the way in case any one is wondering, if you delete all the files for an aircraft from
the <username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\ directory, on the next startup the sim will automatically recognize you need an update and give you that chance.

Thanks everybody

Good to hear you got it resolved.
