November 1, 20241 yr Saw in a video of another simpit builder where he used the Desktop Aviator flaps controller and tied it to a custom made lever bar. My simpit is primarily setup to mock the A2A Comanche but I left the build open to be other small GA single and twins if desired. I had already created an over head trim handle and really wanted a flaps lever. So after seeing this guys video on his build, it put the fire under me to get it done. I found an actual PA24 flaps lever assembly online so the biggest thing was getting a one to one ratio of the flaps lever to coordinate with the detents in the Desktop Aviators flap lever. After a bit of trial and error, I got Flaps up and the 1st & 2nd notches to work. I'm good with that as I hardly ever land full flaps but still have the Honeycomb Bravo flaps lever set to work as well so I can just use that if I ever wanted to land full flaps like at a short field. So here are some pics and video of it in action. I lucked out in the overall dimensions as it fits perfectly between my seat base and the Throttle Quad. I added springs to give it some resistance which works out nicely as well. i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
