January 31, 200818 yr Is there a way to run it on a Quad core in any civilized way ? I get Homo sapiens sapiens 40 fps on the way there and the fps drop to cromagnon 9 as soon as I hit Heathrow. Is there a way to enjoy it in FSX ?Q6600 @ 3 GHz4 Gb RAMVista 64 bitDX9

They might have some good ideas.http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/RonQ6600 @ 3GHz2Gb RamVista 32 UltraDX10 Intel Core Ultra 9 285K | GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS Elite X ICE | RTX 5080 | 32GB DDR5 | Win 11 Pro | Acer Predator UltraWide 3440x1440 (G-Sync)
February 2, 200818 yr Good luck is all I can say....Im still tuning my FSX on my system to eliminate blurries, stutters etc....depending on when am flying, got 3 cfg's now! The thing is beutiful when you get it right, but a nightmare the other 70% of the time!I would stay clear of addon airports until I get at least a 45nm Quad running at 4.5GHZ at least ( which will be some time before the price is affordable!)
February 3, 200818 yr Author Right on! Being a heavy iron fan of the PMDG/LDS variety this is the main reason I have stayed well clear of FSX as I just don't believe it will ever be a practical option for those of us who enjoy complex aircraft and detailed airports populated with realistic levels of AI. Looking at the roadmaps for CPUs it will be quite some time before we see 45nm quads running @ 4.5 Ghz at least without trying your luck with the overclocking lottery.Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened."
