November 15, 20241 yr I just updated to the newest Nvidia driver and now MSFS2020 automatically put my settings from DX11 to DX12 as well as other settings like TAA not being persistent now. I keep trying to turn it back and it says to restart the sim, so I do but it's right back to DX12. I looked for solutions. It says to untick the usercfg file "read only" and "hidden" but they were not checked anyway. Everyone said unchecking these would solve the problem, but they already are unchecked and the problem is still recurring. Any other solutions? Steam/PC/Non-VR Thanks, Andrew Edited November 15, 20241 yr by gryper

November 15, 20241 yr I have regularly had this problem. I find i need to change to DX11 having started a flight, then ho back to main menu and check it is the same (it isn't always), then exit Sim and reboot. Sometimes works first time but sometimes takes a few goes of this process. I use DX11 as I find it works much better with Lossless Scaling.
November 15, 20241 yr Using Nvidia APP and newest driver I noticed "Windowed" mode changes to Full Screen on the next MSFS2020 start up. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

I've always found the hierarchy of these kinds of forums confusing, so I don't use them very often.
