MSFS 2024....

Featured Replies

I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to install it this morning and installation went well. No issues at all!

After spending some time setting up my controllers, I flew (single engine plane) around my airport (KBKV) with live weather (light rain and cloudy) with high setting preset and the sim was smooth but not as smooth as MSFS 2020.

I could not find a way to check the fps. Could not find the DEV mode setting to check fps, but I found everything else and became very familiar with the settings. Has anyone found a way to check fps?

I also flew in NYC and the sim ran smooth, however I did not try my NYC scenery with bridges or payware airports. Does anyone know if the MSFS 2020 cities and bridges will work with the new sim?

The next thing I need to try to get working is my GoFlight controllers.

Overall the sim looks very nice, but I think that loading times are about the same. It's not as fast as I thought.

I'll test again later.

You can check the fps with the game bar or the nVidia overlay.

FS 2024 is MUCH heavier than 2020, my RTX 3090 is barely sufficient for 3440/Ultra.

DLSS is still very badly implemented, with the same ghosting, blurry displays and awful water at low altitude as it was in 2020.
