long time P3D user --> MSFS24......(skipped MSFS20)....ouch

Featured Replies

i played P3D for years, havent been able to play for over a year and just figured start with MSFS24 now since I got the time....well struggling big time!  I mostly fly commercial liners routes, havent gotten off a gate yet....I have configured the the keys setting to match P3D as much as possible., but cant figure out these.

  • how do you start panel C&D?  how do you save a flight with panel state?
  • i have simbrief online, but no idea how to get it down to the FMC, I try using the iPad thing and click on download from simbrief but nothing happens, I havent found where in the sim do you connect to simbrief?
  • i cant change view during slew, only tail view, and its too darn fast to slew around

is there a guide or something that helps out a P3D user transition to MSFS24?  am also reading a lot of people complaining about 24 and going back to 20......to put the icing on the cake, I deleted all my P3D stuff and addons. 🤬

Just my two cents. Go back to 2020. More tutorials, more aircraft that you’re probably familiar with, stability, and 2020 isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Some devs are offering free transfers to 2024 while others are considering a nominal fee. I doubt you’ll see many devs charge for the entire thing again… so yeah, I would encourage you to go to 2020. That’s coming from someone else who made the jump from p3d to 2020 and tried 2024.

It's too early to enter MSFS2024 as a P3D alternative for airliners, which I guess you are flying (commercial liners don't have to be airliners). But it won't be long until they start appearing and the sim stabilizes.

He can't go back because he didn't have 2020...

There are already some tutorials :

And, btw @imrj - Welcome to FS 2024 !!! Give it some time, don't give up with the apparent complexity of the settings because after all they're not more complex to set than in P3D and are, overall, much much more complete and detailed...

You did the right choice / jump... Honestly, forget about the Past...
