Hello,

can someone tell me what do I have to disable in MSFS2024 to get "empty" airports? Before I connect to VATSIM, I believe I should have no aircraft on the stands, otherwise I am facing double-occpupied-stands.

Or are there some recommendations how to best set up the sim for VATSIM?

I am also using FSLTL models, but without Injection right now.

There are a few areas that need to have a setting adjusted for some reason:

- On assistance, turn off AI /Live Aircraft

- In General Settings, Online, down near the bottom is also a check box for AI /Livetraffic

- For good measure, when you start a flight on (I think) the weather page in the bottom right you may also need to uncheck AI/Live traffic. 

I think all these settings stick once you've set them.

Under General, I also don't have what you mention, but I do have "Aircraft Traffic Type", which I set to Off. Same for Multiplayer and Air Traffic in Career.

Additionally, under Graphics Settings, I disabled all Traffic.

Also, when starting the flight, I made sure the Traffic is set to off.

I could have sworn it was still there as an option, but yeah, it got moved to Online.

All those *should* give you an empty airport.

OMG... this is sooo unintuitive.

Solely "Traffice Airport Quality" setting in graphics settings removes all aircraft on the airport.

Sorry, have to update this again: not solely. Even with Traffice Airport Quality at off, if Online -> Aircraft Traffic Type is enabled, the traffic appears.

Nope. These are exactly my settings and I have 0 aircraft traffic.

That's what I meant. You need both settings at 0. One or the other, and some kind of traffic will appear.
