  1. The pattern will take however long it takes. Basically, I spawn in on the runway. I set the airplane to the ready state. I then choose the approach and how far out I want to be. Most of the time, I just set it to the platform altitude for the approach. Or, something like the river visual in KDCA I'll go out as far the first STAR. Once I hit "move aircraft" it takes about 5-10 min to put the plane into the air where I have specified. After that, it's how long it takes to fly the approach. If all you want to do is a circuit, you don't need FSI Panel. Just spawn in a runway, set the start and origin approach to the same airport in the plane's MCDU. So, for the river visual you can spawn in on Runway 19 in KDCA and then set the Start to KDCA and Dest to KDCA. Fsipanel is good if you want to set up an approach in the air,.
  2. I don't know. Nothing in the upgraded version appeals to me so I have never kept my eye on upgrade price sales. I mostly use it when my flight session is short, or I am readjusting to an aircraft. It takes about 5 min or so for each setup. Usually I get the aircraft into the Ready state via the EFB, and setup the approach. Once it's loaded I double-check the ILS info was input correctly. I don't usually reset the sim between approaches at the same airport. So, after I land I tell FSI to reset it up and a little over 5 min I am back in the air.
  3. I use the standard and haven't like upgrading. The good news is, if you do decide to upgrade later, you just need to pay the difference.
  4. It just ends up in your hanger. Search for "v2" and it will be there.
  5. I figured you did 🙂 I may break out my TCA and give this a go later.
  6. Yeah. I loaded it up, thought about getting it to work with the Bravo and SPAD and decided against it. I am glad it's here for folks who can't use the Fenix or FBW.
  7. Yeah, after you calibrate the throttles, use the -> button to go over two screens. There you need to calibrate the flaps.
  8. It is in the original post: VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OPERATIONS CENTER USERS: We recently pushed an update for OC2 that you unfortunately have to trigger manually, otherwise OC2 will not be able to connect home to handle the 737 update, among other tasks. To update OC2, simply navigate to C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\PMDG\PMDG Operations Center Once you have this folder open, execute the program: 'OpsCenterUpdater.exe' You should then be all set to run normally. (This requirement was a design flaw in the OC2 that we have corrected effective with this update, so you won't have to do this again in the future, fortunately!)
  9. To keep this derailment going, shortly before Ep1 released I met Ahmed Best. He's a nice guy, and I was able to see how much of "him" as an actor was in Jar Jar. It helped me with Jar Jar a lot.
  10. Cease Discussion and Abscond with my Currencies!
  11. I regret I have but one like for this post. I enjoy flying both planes. The behind the scenes on how the planes are made I don't have any interest in. Right now, I am flying the Fenix more than the PMDG. I haven't flown the PMDG since B2 released, but that was by design. Life is too short, and too full of frustrations to worry about something in my hobby. Back on topic. the B2 really is amazing. The EFB is nice and snappy now. So many QoL features like send to MCDU. I am giddy with the goofy cabin annoucements. I have no issues flying it, holding it on centerline, etc. I find my landings to be better in B2. Are there annoyances? Sure. Most of them they are aware of and will fix in time. I just want to fly my pretend airplanes.
  12. Yep. Both the PMDG and Fenix are quality addons and I would recommend them both.
  13. There are two "simpilots" A320 Sim Pilot, a (former) at least FO for an airbus operator; and EZJetSimpilot (Gavin), some bloke from England. Both are good content creators. Of the RW A320 pilots, V1 is the one I look to first. That is because I catch most of his streams so I have things he said about the Fenix et. al before B2.
  14. It's used for some controllers so they don't just slam visually into the detents. For example, the Bravo profile I have with Spad, Incremental Thrust Handling allows it to have a smooth transition into full reverse. The Bravo doesn't have reversers so it needs to get cute.
  15. If you don't buy it of the MP, I think there is a configurator where you can remove statics. I got mine of ORBX and there is an option there.
  16. Right now, you still need something like Spad for this. Long term, I am not sure about this. I asked on the Discord but didn't get a response.
  17. I imagine they will do some press releases for the a319, but I am glad they didn't do any sort of press on this one. It had enough delays.
  18. Oh I know. Plus, someone will eventually get one on FSTO. It's why I am only mildly miffed 🙂
  19. I am still mildly miffed they didn't port over the US Airways livery.
  20. Ummmm. Gavin isn't a real pilot. I think you have him mixed up with A320 Sim Pilot.
  21. I'd open a support ticket. There is likely something going on they can help you with. Their support is actually pretty good and I imagine well-staffed. They are in the UK though.
  22. That's it. The CFM/IAEs are now in Base Package. I imagine that is so the a319/a321 can get their own package on top of that.
  23. Go to the Fenix web site. Log in and go to Dashboard. The download button is there.
